学校简介 Introduction of GUET

桂林电子科技大学坐落于世界著名的风景游览城市和中国历史文化名城桂林市，是工业和信息化部与广西壮族自治区人民政府共建高校、国家国防科技工业局与广西壮族自治区人民政府共建高校、国家“中西部高校基础能力建设工程”入选高校。学校开设有本科专业78个，其中，国家级一流专业建设点23个、通过工程教育认证专业20个（含住建部行业认证1个）、国家综合改革试点专业1个、国家级特色专业5个。硕士学位授权一级学科点21个，硕士专业学位授权类别12个；博士学位授权一级学科点8个，博士专业学位授权类别1个；博士后科研流动站4个；是硕士研究生推免工作高校。工程学、材料科学、计算机科学、化学、环境与生态学五个学科进入ESI全球前1%。

Located in GUILIN city, the world famous scenic historical city, Guilin University of Electronic Technology named as GUET for short was founded in 1960, and jointly sponsored by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, as well as by the State Administration of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense and the Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. GUET is also one of the nominated universities of “National Basic Ability Construction Project for Western and Central China”. GUET offers 78 bachelor programs including 23 national first-class programs, 20 programs have passed the certification of China Engineering Education Accreditation Association (including 1 accredited by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development), 1 national comprehensive reform pilot program and 5 national characteristic programs. GUET has 21 master’s programs as well as 12 professional master’s programs. GUET also has 8 doctoral programs, 1 professional doctoral programs and 4 postdoctoral research centers. GUET excels in academic research with Engineering, Material Science, Computer Science, Chemistry as well as Environment and Ecology disciplines ranking among the top 1% in the ESI (Essential Science Indicators) Global.

There are 3400 teachers and staff and about 41000 students working and studying at GUET. At present, GUET has established good cooperative relationships with more than 100 universities and academic institutions across Belt & Road countries, Asia, Europe, the Americas, Oceania and Africa. GUET selects and sponsors its outstanding teachers and students going abroad for a short or long term academic visit every year. GUET also recruits foreign students and is authorized with Chinese Government Scholarship, Silk Road Scholarship, Guangxi ASEAN Government Scholarship and International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship. The China-ASEAN College of Intelligent Technology. 一、申请条件

▲ 基本条件

东盟国家公民，品行端正，身体健康，对中国友好，遵守中国的法律、法规和学校的规章制度。

▲ 学历要求

（1）申请攻读学士学位者，须具有高中学历。

（2）申请攻读硕士学位者，须具有学士学位，两封副教授及以上学者的推荐信、来华学习计划（中文1000字以上，英文2500字以上）。

（3）申请攻读博士学位者，须具有硕士学位，两封副教授及以上学者的推荐信、来华学习计划(中文1000字以上，英文2500字以上)、需公开发表过高水平论文两篇及以上。

▲ 语言能力

（1）申请中文授课的学生，汉语水平需达到HSK4级180分(含)以上，未达到则需汉补一年。

（2）申请英文授课的学生，英文水平需达到雅思成绩6.0分以上或提供同等水平证明，无英语水平证明者，需通过我校组织的英语考试。

▲ 通过入学考试

（1）自2026-2027学年起，来我校攻读本科学位的申请人须在提交申请前参加“来华留学本科入学学业水平测试”(以下简称CSCA)。CSCA成绩单将作为我校审核录取的必要材料之一。CSCA有关介绍详见官方网站www. csca.cn。

（2）申请人需参加面试，且学业成绩、学术水平以及语言能力等条件须达到所申请专业的入学要求。

I. Application Requirements

▲ Basic Requirements

Citizens of ASEAN countries, of good moral character, in good health, friendly towards China, and compliant with Chinese laws, regulations, and school rules and regulations.

▲ Academic Qualifications

(1) Bachelor’s Degree Applicants: Must hold a high school diploma.

(2) Master’s Degree Applicants: Must hold a bachelor's degree, submit two recommendation letters from scholars of associate professor rank or higher, and provide a study plan (minimum of 1,000 words in Chinese or 2,500 words in English).

(3) Doctoral Degree Applicants: Must hold a master's degree, submit two recommendation letters from scholars of associate professor rank or higher, and provide a study plan (minimum of 1,000 words in Chinese or 2,500 words in English), and have published at least two high-level academic papers.

▲ Language Proficiency

(1) Chinese-taught Programs: Applicants shall have an HSK Level 4 score of 180 or above. Those who fail to meet the standard need to take a one-year Chinese remedial course.

(2) English-taught Programs: Applicants are required to have an IELTS score of 6.0 or above, or provide equivalent English proficiency certificate. Applicants without relevant certificate must pass the English proficiency test organized by GUET.

▲ Entrance Examination

(1) CSCA transcript (For Undergraduate Applicants): Starting from the 2026-2027 academic year, applicants applying for undergraduate programs in GUET must take the Undergraduate Academic Proficiency Test for International Students in China (hereinafter referred to as CSCA) prior to submitting their application. The CSCA transcript shall serve as  one of the essential documents for GUET’s admission review. For details regarding the CSCA, please visit the official website: www.csca.cn.

(2) All applicants must attend an interview and meet the admission requirements of the applied major in terms of academic performance, academic competence and language proficiency.

IV. Application and Admission

Visit the website at http://admission.guet.edu.cn/ to complete your registration and submit the required application materials. And name the electronic copy of student application materials as Specialized Scholarship Application -Passport Number- Passport Name - Program Level - Intended Major and send it to the admissions officer via email at guet-overseas@guet.edu.cn. Paper documents are not required to be mailed.
