On the afternoon of January 7th, the Pre-departure Safety Education Meeting for Guilin University of Electronic Technology’s 2025 short-term study tours to Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore, Japan, and Europe during the winter vacation was held in Conference Room 203 of the Collegeof InternationalExchange. The meeting was conducted in a hybrid online-offline format and targeted the 35 students who were about to embark on their winter vacation study tours, comprehensively covering pre-departure precautions and safety education.
Deng Yanzhen, the Vice Dean of the College of International Exchange, focused on core points such as foreign affairs discipline, management systems, and local laws and regulations, as well as numerous precautions during the study tours abroad, providing students with detailed and nuanced explanations. On one hand, she emphasized reminding students to strictly abide by local laws and regulations while overseas, respect local customs and traditions, and demonstrate a good international image through practical actions. Students were urged to always keep personal safety in mind, proactively stay away from dangerous areas, and be cautious about transportation and dietary health. On the other hand, she elaborated on foreign affairs discipline and the university’s internal management system, requiring students to obey the unified management of the school while abroad and strictly comply with various regulations. Additionally, study and exchange tasks were assigned to students in groups, encouraging mutual assistance and joint progress, so that students could fully utilize the study tour opportunity to improve themselves while also serving as “promotional business cards” for the university, allowing more people to learn about its charm.
In the future, the Department Of International Cooperation And Exchange will continuously deepen exchanges and cooperation with high-quality foreign universities, further broadening students’ horizons and promoting the internationalization of education.
