The 2024 GUET “Chinese+” Short-term Study in China Series Programs Achieve Quality Improvement and Efficiency Enhancement and Conclude Successfully

To propagate traditional Chinese culture, tell China’s stories well, and explore new models of innovation and practice in study in China education, the College of International Exchange, relying on the universit’s electronic information characteristics, carried out the 2024 “Chinese+”series of short-term training and experience programs for foreign nationals, which were successfully concluded on January 15, 2025.

In 2024, our university, together with more than ten foreign universities and enterprise units such as Vietnam Eastern University, Vietnam University of Foreign Trade, Confucius Institute at Vinh University of our university, Vietnam FIT Group, Thailand’s Chiang Mai Rajabhat University, and Malaysia Multimedia University, jointly carried out the “Chinese+”short-term study in China experience programs. Throughout the year, a total of 21 incoming groups to China were accumulated, with more than 500 foreign teachers and students participating. The programs were mainly conducted in forms such as summer camps, short-term training, credit exchange, and internships, with durations ranging from 7 days to 4 months. The content included Chinese cultural experience courses, Chinese language enhancement courses, cultural tourism activities, skill training, scientific and technological experiences, and enterprise visits. The 2024 programs achieved the development goal of quality improvement and efficiency enhancement, and the number of short-term study in China students far exceeded that of previous years.

The college has always adhered to the concept of educational exchange and cooperation of based in Guangxi, facing the whole country, radiating to ASEAN, and serving the industry. Through the “Chinese+”short-term study in China programs, it attracts international youth to come to China to experience Chinese culture, promotes foreign teachers and students to understand China’s stories, appreciate the unique cultural charm of Guangxi, enhance mutual friendship, facilitate cultural mutual learning, and build the characteristic brand of “studying at GUET”.
