“Sending Warmth for the New Year, Celebrating the Chinese New Year Together” — International College Visits International Students Staying on Campus during Winter Vacation

On January 27, 2025, as the Spring Festival approached,College Of InternationalExchange held a Spring Festival visit andgreeting activity titled “Sending Warmth for the New Year, Celebrating the Chinese New Year Together”. Dean Gao Lanying, Vice Dean Deng Yanzhen, and teacher representatives of the college visited international student apartments and had cordial conversations with students, delivering heartwarming gift packages.

Dean Gao Lanying and Vice Dean Deng Yanzhen extended New Year greetings to the international students staying on campus during the winter vacation and encouraged them to cherish their precious time studying in China and continue to maintain a proactive attitude to achieve even better results in the new year. To express deep care for the students staying on campus, the college carefully prepared holiday gift packages containing Spring Festival couplets, Fu characters (Chinese characters symbolizing good fortune), and delicious snacks, integrating the warmth of Chinese culture into the gifts and delivering them to each student staying on campus, allowing international students to feel the warmth of “Distant lands hold warmth of home”.

This Spring Festival visit and greeting activity not only conveyed the deep care of the college for international students but also enabled students far away from their home countries to experience the strong festive atmosphere of traditional Chinese festivals and appreciate the charm and warmth of Chinese culture.
