Our International Students Participate in Guanyang County’s “Lunar June sixth” Fresh Harvest Festival

On June 28, at the cordial invitation of Guanyang County, our university organized international students to go to Guanyang to participate in the folk cultural activities of the national intangible cultural heritage — the “Lunar June sixth” Fresh Harvest Festival.

During the one-day immersive experience, the international students participated in characteristic folk activities such as “New Crop of Rice Ancestor Worship” and “Farming Experience” together with villagers. The students gained a deep understanding of the unique charm of southern Chinese farming culture. At the event site, the students also visited the demonstration sites of new rural construction and personally felt the brand-new changes brought to traditional villages by the rural revitalization strategy.

This activity is an important part of our school’s “Perceiving China” cultural experience series. In the future, the school will continue to build a diversified cultural experience platform to help international students deeply understand the innovative development of traditional Chinese culture in the new era and promote cultural exchanges and mutual learning between China and foreign countries.
