Our University’s International Students Achieve Historical Best Results in Guangxi International Student Chinese Character Dictation Competition

From November 13 to 14, 2025, the 4th Guangxi International Student Chinese Character Dictation Competition was successfully held at Guangxi Normal University. Hosted by the Foreign Student Education Management Professional Committee of the Guangxi Higher Education Association and undertaken by Guangxi Normal University, this competition attracted international students from numerous universities across the region to compete on the same stage.

The 7-member delegation of international students from our university achieved brilliant results in this competition, winning one first prize, one second prize, and one third prize in Group B of the individual competition. Notably, in the most fiercely competitive team event, our delegation triumphed over all rivals, winning the first prize in Group A and setting a new record for our university in the team event of this competition.

The achievement of these excellent results is not only a microcosm of our university’s international students’ outstanding Chinese proficiency and diligent study, but also a manifestation of the fruits of our university’s long-standing emphasis on international Chinese education and focus on cultivating students’ language practical abilities. The university will continue to support the cause of international student education, encouraging more international students to devote themselves to Chinese learning and become cultural envoys who are proficient in Chinese, know China well, and are friendly to China.
