报告题目：Recent progress on mathematical analysis and numerical simulations of graphene

报告摘要：The 2-D material graphene was first successfully isolated by Novoselov and Geim in 1994. In 2010, they were awarded Nobel Prizes in Physics for their groundbreaking experiments regarding graphene. Due to graphene’s unique electrical, electromagnetic, and optical characteristics, it has attracted widespread attention, leading to the design of many new systems and equipment with graphene. In this talk, we will review some recent progress on the mathematical analysis of models developed for simulating the surface plasmon polaritons (SPPs) on graphene sheets. We will go over some numerical methods recently developed. Interesting numerical simulations will be presented on various complex graphene sheets.

主讲人简介：李继春教授是湘潭大学湖南省特聘教授，同时执掌多本国际知名期刊核心编辑工作，现任《Results in Applied Mathematics》主编、《Computers & Mathematics with Applications》执行主编，兼任《Advances in Applied Mathematics and Mechanics》副主编。其研究方向聚焦有限元方法、高阶紧致差分方法、RBF 无网格方法及偏微分方程应用，重点攻克超材料与石墨烯系统中电磁波传播的数值模拟难题，是该领域兼具学术造诣与实践经验的资深学者。
