关于名古屋大学Komoto Kunihito教授来校讲学的通知


应桂林电子科技大学材料科学与工程学院、广西电子信息材料构效关系重点实验室邀请,名古屋大学名誉教授、丰田物理化学研究所研究员、阿卜杜勒阿齐兹国王大学特聘客座教授Komoto Kunihito将于11月5日来我校交流,欢迎全校师生踊跃参加。

报告人简介:

Komoto Kunihito,名古屋大学名誉教授,丰田物理化学研究所研究员,阿卜杜勒阿齐兹国王大学特聘客座教授。长期从事陶瓷材料、热电材料、纳米功能材料和能源转换材料等方面的研究。主持并负责实施了多个国际合作项目,发表学术论文375篇,综述论文110篇,著书58章节,申请专利50项,学术邀请报告133次(国际会议)和127次(日本)。其研究在可再生能源以及陶瓷功能材料领域多次获奖,代表的奖项有:国际热电学会、国际陶瓷学会、美国陶瓷学会、日本陶瓷学会杰出成果奖,日本紫绶褒章、加藤纪念奖。

报告摘要:

My first paper on thermoelectric materials was published in 1987. It was on porous SiC. Since the time just before the first publication, I have been engaged in TE materials research for more than 30 years and still continue thermoelectric research by collaborating with my former students, colleagues, and collaborators in China, Korea, Australia, Saudi Arabia as well as Japan after retiring from Nagoya University in 2015.

I have proposed new concepts, “nanoblock integration” and “quantum-nanostructured materials”, for exploitation of high-performance TE materials and proposed many kinds of materials so far. Porous SiC ceramics, 2D layered oxides: ZnO-In2O3 homologous compounds, SrTiO3-based oxides, inorganic/organic hybrid superlattices are the major materials we have proposed.

The International Thermoelectric Society (ITS) recognized my tremendous contribution to the advancement of TE science and technology, and bestowed ITS Outstanding Achievement Award with me this year. On this occasion, I will demonstrate in this talk how I became involved in this field, why I have chosen those specific kinds of materials for research target, how I kept my motivation, where I’m going from now, what I want young people to do, etc.
